There's "taking the situation seriously" and there's "outright depressing". I think this is starting to tilt towards the latter.

Yeah, it comes and goes. It just feels worse than usual for some reason. Might be the timing of it all. [Of course, and nothing to do with people he knows or is close to getting taken, or Stella's (and Albert's sort of) condition freaking him out. Not at all.]

With his injuries, I guess it'll be a slow recovery. [The pause was noted, but he's still trying to figure out what it was for. He's throwing the "slow recovery" out there to see if that's what it was, but he's pretty sure he's wrong.]

They have been a little rougher with everyone lately. At least it seems that way.
