smiling in the wind
There was a scene in episode 30 (I think) that was such fun. Linghu Chong and Ren Yingying have separated, not on the best terms. He dresses up as a soldier with a fake beard and mustache, and goes trolling for information in a bar filled with dangerous men.
RYY walks in, sets her things on a table, then looks up and sees the soldier. She immediately recognizes that this is LHC, and then gives him a smile that seems to say, Seriously? This is what you're up to? Fine, I'll play along.
I have no idea how to describe the rest of the scene, but I played the whole thing twice.
eta: Actually, this is not my favorite story ever. I don't know how far it strays from the novel, but I'm not feeling motivated to read it. At this point I'm just enjoying these two characters, who are quite interesting.
