Watching the credits for Condor Heroes again, I'm remembering that I really liked Yang Kang back when he was trying to be a good guy. I'm slowly remembering what was happening, and now after episode 35 I think I pretty much remember... except I'm a little unclear on what Yang Kang thinks he's doing at this point. "I'm going to infiltrate the Jin royal court again so that I can... what exactly? Kill Wanyan Honglie? Could have done that already. Learn their secrets? Lived with them for years. Be needlessly vengeful and power hungry while pretending even to myself that I'm still good?" It seems like he isn't even sure himself... but then I'm still easing back into the story. This is the only version I've seen, so I don't have any canon to compare it to.
Anyway, Huang Rong's father has accepted Guo Jing now, and it sounds like they're off to the north soon. Nianci is taking a break from sitting at home pining after YK, and doing some fighting.
Back when Netflix had a disk of everything there is (i.e. when they were useful), I sampled a lot of things. I discovered so many shows and movies that way. Some of the things I really liked, I ended up buying.
I remember sampling a number of wuxia shows that were available. Several of them didn't appeal to me at the time. I think The Handsome Siblings with Nicholas Tse was one I was having trouble getting into.
Some (like Sword Stained with Royal Blood and Chinese Paladin) I actually remember bits of the first few episodes. I'll probably return to those and see if I like more of them.
I think this mood is going to continue for awhile. I haven't felt like watching a new Korean drama lately, though I might give Rooftop Prince a try because Overwhelming Cuteness. But as long as I'm in the mood for wuxia, it makes studying more fun too.
