several shows

In my spare time I'm trying to watch several things. I should probably just pick one and run with it, but I'm in several moods of late.

I'm on disk two of Young Warriors of the Yang Clan. I normally hate the brainwashing trope; I just really don't care for it whenever it shows up in a show. But they've made me care about the character who's doing it, so... way to not annoy me as much, show. Actually there are quite a few interesting characters here. I'm watching it with the Mandarin track of course, but they're talking so fast...

Yuan Hong keeps distracting me. He's just so hot in this I have to keep reminding myself "villain, he's the villain"

I've finished eight episodes of Hong Gil Dong. Some of the early silliness kind of turned me off (yes I know, Hong sisters and all), but I'm into the story now. They need to not keep Gil Dong and Yi Nok apart any longer or I will be annoyed.

I watched one episode of Warrior Baek Dong-soo just to see what it's like. I picked episode 6 because of an image I can't get out of my head: Choi Min Soo and Yoon Ji Min in a bamboo forest. I've only seen Choi as the sorcerer in The Legend, and it's wild seeing him play someone else. Young Damdeok has grown up. I find the title character irritating, though.

Then there is What's Up. This is just awesome. I'm still completely involved in almost every moment (though Chae-Young still brings out the urge to fast-forward). Doo-Ri, Jae-Hun, Woo-Young, and Do-Sung (who still needs to find a spine) are the most involving characters, but it's hard to find a dull moment. I still need to catch up, though. It's rare for me to actually be watching a show when other people are watching it, so I don't want to keep falling behind.

yuan hong, warrior baek dong soo, what's up, the legend, hong gil dong, the young warriors
