It's a little disappointing that we're on familiar ground here. We have the self-absorbed, evil woman plotting to break up the couple because she's insecure about losing her toy. As the first eight episodes proved, there is enough drama in this drama to sustain an interesting story. Why must we add a Villain?

As usual, the best parts of the episode were one-on-one conversations between damaged Bong-sun and broken Jae-hee. He really needs to give her some time, but he's not nearly as socially competent as he lets on.

Her mother shows up with food, sees a man leaving, and says "Is there a man that Dal has been dating recently?" Ouch. So it would have to be Dal, then? No wonder Bong-sun brushes you off again.

We return to the idea of finding things in common with a lover, and Bong-sun decides that she was just grasping at connection.

"We didn't fall in love with each other because we shared something in common. But because we liked each other, we looked for something to share in common. That's right, I do like you. I like you so much, that I looked for any similarities we shared. I never thought we could be different."

That was an interesting conversation, and Jae-hee still doesn't get that her trust won't be earned just by saying "Trust me." And he really won't earn her trust by saying "Now you know, it's that simple."

Simple? Now she knows? You're still keeping something huge from her, and you say "Trust me, it will be all right" which okay, might have been possible until she carries you home drunk and sees that you're living with that woman who hates her.

Earning the trust of an insecure person who doesn't easily trust... you fail, Jae-hee.
