me too, flower - 5 & 6

I'm loving this show now. Things are getting very interesting, and I like how the two main characters are unfolding. Since I'm one of about five people watching the show, I'll just ramble...

There's a lot of character backstory now, delivered both in tense conversations, and in flashbacks. A young Bong-sun waiting in the rain for her mother to emerge from the hotel. A young Jae-hee accidentally killing someone. And everything echoing toward the present... and now I see how Hwa-Young is involved. All three of them messed up, unfurling.

I think Lee Ji-ah and Yoon Si-Yoon are really delivering these characters. Though their relationship so far involves arguments and (on his part) deception, each defends the other when something goes wrong. And then... in the police station, as his past (theft? murder?) comes to light (a fantastic scene), she's realizing she feels something for him... at the worst possible time.

Yoon Si-Yoon was so good during his flashback.

Back to the present, and gggggggg... that... was a fantastic kiss. And his desperate "I didn't do it"... his need to convince her. I'm still never sure when this character is telling the truth, but I believed him in that moment. So did she.

The funny: Bong-sun's poor partner goes to confess his love for her, and as a precaution he's wearing riot armor.

The not so good: Seo Hyo-Rim's character. I don't like this sort of caricature. I can't imagine this character developing, but who knows.

I don't know when episode 7 will be translated. I'm just happy someone's working on this.
