Cair Paravel: Sunday Late Morning - Afternoon

None of the Narnians  were really getting up terribly early after the wedding, but once people were up and moving about, a brunch was laid out in one of the 'family' (i.e. not quite so enormous) dining rooms for all the Fandom guests before the portals started taking people back to their homes.

The good mood from yesterday had carried over to today

Once again tables and mingling areas were set up for final socialising and getting to speak to those people you just hadn't had a chance to yet.

Jeff had returned to a table. Well, he supposed that technically, he hadn't returned to a table, since it wasn't the same table, but he'd turned to a table. Which was sort of the same thing, except where it wasn't. Anyway, he was sitting there, still staring at bits of castle (castle!) which made him far too giddy, and tapping one of his feet against the floor.

He was very careful not to look at any places that might have closets, though, and so far Turtle hadn't gotten any ideas, so he felt all in all it had been rather succesful.

"It's good to see you again, Jeff," Peter said with a quick grin as he paused by Jeff's table.

"Peter!" Jeff exclaimed, with some excitement, "I really like your castle." Realising, perhaps a moment too late, that there was, in fact, more to this visit than simply the castle, he added, "And congratulations!"

He refrained from voicing his still-forming theory on marriage. It seemed a bit badly timed.

"I'm glad you could come and see it," Peter said, sounding a bit proud of his home. "You're welcome to visit anytime - not just for weddings."

"Excellent," Jeff said. You'd need a chisel to remove the grin from his face. "No offense, but you know how other people's marriages are, you start to get a bit worried, and it would be bad if the castle got ruined by all of that." A pause. "...Although there could be more ramparts."

No, he still didn't know what ramparts were.

"The ramparts are up on the walls," Peter pointed out. "How many more does it need?" He paused for a moment. "I realise Willow is dangerous, but I have faith neither she nor I could actually destroy the castle. I hope."

"...Fifteen?" Jeff proposed, as his eyes travelled up towards the walls. Finding nothing he'd identify as ramparts, he dropped his gaze back to Peter. "I was sort of talking about the time bomb factor," he said, because apparently he couldn't stop talking. "She might start looking at me, and I'm not really in the Willow... area yet." He had, apparently, decided to name something after Willow. Sort of. He wasn't sure.

"I don't particularly mind that you're not in the Willow, er, area yet," Peter said, just now remembering what a strange ride talking to Jeff was. "But I don't think you'll blow up by her looking at you."

"But what if she asks something?" Jeff asked.

Because Peter was clearly the expert, being married and all.

"Turtle?" Peter asked. "Think about it, she's Turtle. I very much doubt that will happen."

"You don't know that," Jeff said, stealing a look out at the crowd, "She moved in with me." Which had been excellent, mind, but still. "...But nevermind that. You're all... married, now!"

"Into 513?" Peter asked, grinning. He clapped Jeff on the back. "That's brilliant. How are you enjoying it?"

"It beats the extra bed," Jeff said, seriously, even if the back-clap sort of sent him somewhat forwards. He was just not meant to be a fighter. "'Cos now we don't need one. It's really sort of excellent, that. Sharing a room." Except he wasn't allowed to go near the closet.
