The time had come to go home, go finally back to Narnia after a long, long two years away.  But as much as Peter had been waiting for this day, now that it was here, he was almost ready to put it off, to wait until the end of the summer and see where the moving island would take them all.

It was kind of hard to miss the packing. Isabel came over and stopped in the alcove opening. "Heading out?"

"So it seems," Peter agreed. "Good afternoon, Isabel."

[izzyalienqueen]

"No chance of locking you in the closet and keeping you around for a bit?" she teased.

[once_a_king]

Peter laughed. "Last time I tried to hide in a closet, we ended up in Narnia. Wonder if it would work from Fandom."

[izzyalienqueen]

"I think just about anything is possible here," Isabel smiled. "It's what makes this place so special."

[once_a_king]

"Part of what makes it so special," Peter agreed. "For me, I'm just glad I left before one of my siblings arrived."

[izzyalienqueen]

"I didn't escape soon enough. I've got a brother running around," she said, shaking her head. "Granted an alternate, younger version of him. But still it's enough to make me bang my head against the wall once in a while."

"I feel as though I got that out of the way when Su was here when I arrived, but one's never sure around here."

[izzyalienqueen]

"No. Not at all." Isabel shrugged, "I'll be leaving before any more new students come in. So unless some older version of Max turns up as a bartender in town, I think I'll be okay.

"I'd not wish that upon you," Peter said, a bit of amusement in his voice.

[izzyalienqueen]

"Your lips to the ears of whatever Powers happen to watch over this place," she said with a small smile.

"So is this the point I'm supposed to say something profound?"

[once_a_king]

"Would that make this the point where I thank you for your profound thought?"

[izzyalienqueen]

"Exactly," Isabel nodded. "So now that we've done profound? How about I just say that it's been fun?"

"More fun than I'd've imagined," Peter agreed. "It's been a very good two years, and you've been part of that." He paused and grinned. "Even if you are a Meerkat."

[izzyalienqueen]

"Icky Stickbug!" she replied, wrinkling her nose.

"You're right though. It has been a great two years. Thanks for that."

Peter laughed. "At least we have the satisfaction of knowing we won the prank war," he teased.

"And you. I'll miss you, Isabel. And wish you much luck and good wishes."
