The time had come to go home, go finally back to Narnia after a long, long two years away.  But as much as Peter had been waiting for this day, now that it was here, he was almost ready to put it off, to wait until the end of the summer and see where the moving island would take them all.

Zuko watched the packing a bit warily and there may have been some jealousy there. "Leaving?"

"Unless the same thing that happened to you occurs," Peter said, nodding at Zuko.

Zuko made a face. "It tends to do annoying things like that."

[once_a_king]

He considered Zuko for a moment. "You're welcome to come back to Narnia. Perhaps leaving and coming back would allow you to leave again."

"I don't think that's it as I can cross the causeway, I just can't seem to find my own world," he shrugged a shoulder. "But thanks."

He gave Zuko a quick smile. "And people here you'd rather not leave perhaps?"

Zuko glanced down and he nodded once. "It doesn't change what I need to do."

"No," Peter agreed. "It wouldn't." He looked up at Zuko. "I realise you'll probably be busy with your own country at the time, but I'd like to invite you to my and Willow's wedding."

Zuko looked surprised. "You're getting married?"

"A king does have to have heirs," Peter pointed out. He grinned. "That and I can't imagine being with anyone else."

Zuko nodded and for a second wondered if he needed to ask Katara. Then decided that he'd lost his mind being stuck on the island. "I'm sure you'll be happy." Though Willow was weird.

"Thank you," Peter said. "I think we will be. Besides I'd be lost without her. So it seems to work out."

"She's going with you then?" Zuko asked, because sometimes he was slow.

[once_a_king]

"No," he said straight-faced. "We're getting married long distance."

[thebluespirit]

Zuko blinked. "That sounds complicated."

Peter laughed. "I was joking, Zuko. Willow's coming to Narnia with me."
