ahh, federal financial aid

The on-line FAFSA exit session is currently taking away part of my afternoon. Here is my favorite moment so far.

"A discharge (cancellation) releases you from all obligations to repay your loan(s). You can receive a discharge if:

•you become totally and permanently disabled;

•your loan(s) may be discharged in bankruptcy court proceedings, when conditions of extreme financial hardship are present, and the judge directs discharge of the loan(s) through an adversary proceeding; or

•in the event of your death."

I don't think I want to exploit any of these loopholes.

I hope this is on the quiz (yes, I have a quiz to complete before my session is complete)

hrmm...

"Whenever I want up-to-date account information for my Direct Loan(s), I can call the Direct Loan Servicing Center on 1-800-848-0979 or I can. . .
a) access the Direct Loan Web Site at www.dl.ed.gov
b) ask a friend
c) contact my bank
d) call my school"

think Charles, THINK!
