The Gardens and Great Hall of Cair Paravel - Saturday Evening
Music had begun pouring through the gardens and halls of Cair Paravel as soon as the High King and the new Queen of Narnia were announced to their guests and subjects.
The decorations stayed in the trees, and as the sun went down, tiny lights woven through the branches appeared, keeping the gardens well-lit for socialising and dancing.

"I'm Xander - used to be Harris, but now it's Carson - and Willow's been my best friend since before I could tie my own shoes." He made a show of glancing down at his feet. "Not counting this morning. You closet-people have some funky lacing patterns." He looked back up and nodded towards Edmund. "So they told me the Best Guy of Honor types were supposed to make toasts, and I prepared ahead of time..." Xander pulled a plastic sandwich bag from the pocket of his doublet, and held it up. It contained two slices of toast, with a W and a P toasted on each one, butter added surreptitiously at the banquet table. "But I might've got a little mixed up, so I guess I'll have to wing it."
Pointing the bag of toast in Willow's direction, he said, "The only person I care more about in this world than the one you just gave a crown to is the one I married, and the only reason I'm willing to share her with you people is I know it's the same with her and Peter. I never thought my best friend would grow up to be a queen -- Willow's too polite to make the joke about neither did she so I'll just do that for her -- but I gotta tell you, I know how she's taken care of me, and I've seen how they take care of each other, and you done good, Narnia. Trust me, you done good." He raised the toast above his head and grinned. "To Willow and Peter!"
