Rehearsal Dinner

All guests to the wedding are invited. The dinner's in the Great Hall with plenty of room for mingling, eating, and seeing or avoiding old friends.

Willow was there trying to make sure everything was okay and that she didn't pass out from nerves. It was possible that she was only going to be successful at one of these things.

Peter reached for Willow's hand and squeezed it lightly. "Have you eaten anything?"

"Yes," Willow said immediately. Then she paused and thought about it. "Or no. It's one of those, I can narrow it down that much."

"Fifty percent chance," Peter said with a smile. "Would you like me to get you something?"

"Ooo - math on the fly. No wonder I'm marrying you." Willow went to give his hand a squeeze. "Maybe something simple to start with? Maybe that'll help my memory and we can move on to bigger things like a salad course."

Willow kissed him back. "I havne't forgotten what we're doing tomorrow, at least. At this point I'm narrowing my goals down to showing up and having clothes on. I figure if I get over those two hurdles all else is extra."

"Well okay but I'm pretty sure we're not allowed to be late for the wedding like we were late for some of the dances at school," Willow said, teasing.

"I don't think they can have a wedding without us," he teased back, leaving to get her plate. "So we could if we were willing to hear about it for the next fifty years."

"Well okay but you are so not allowed to mess up my dress or Lu will kill us," Willow warned him.

He waited until he was back with a plate of appetizers, hoping to get her to eat something. "I'm sure we could find something else to do with the dress," he offered.

Willow looked over the appetizers, trying to decide if any tempted her. "I say after the ceremony you can mess it up as much as you like."

For Peter's sake Willow helped herself to an appetizer. She wasn't particularly hungry, but she hoped food might help with the occasional light-headed feeling she got. "Of course I'll protect you. Though we can probably skip a lot of steps if I just give the dress to Lu when I'm done with it."
