Line 3--"He never talked to her " Line 10--"And she loved him still "
Love is a feeling you get when you've talked with somone for a really long time and shared feelings with that person through good times and bad. Without a sharing of mutual feelings between two people, love can not exist. How then can this girl love a boy whom shes never talked to and knows nothing about him but his physical appearance? She thinks hes cute and maybe likes the way he acts but doesent really know him at all???!! This whole poem is based off superficial values and therefore collapses on itself and fails to be sad to me. The girls intentions are the ones that are flawed yet she is the victum figure. It seems to me like a clever use of words and an appeal to human sympathy when there is no real meaning behind it other then to help people who enjoy sadness satisfy themselves and allow them to feel sorrow for a fictional character.
The following men make men out to be horrible creatures when dating polls prove that woman are the heartbreakers of society.
Line 4--"His friends had made her cry" Line 6--"He just turned his head He did not care about her Is what he always said " Line 13--"His friends soon caught word Of her feelings toward him They found it hysterical " Line 24--"He was still ignoring her Breaking her delicate soul"
This poem appeals to a certain group of people. People who enjoy one feeling, SADNESS. Not only is focusing on sadness unhealthy, especially in the curcumstances of fictional stories, but there is no reason for it and it doesen't lead anywhere. For some people it may become an addition but they will find it leads them nowhere and simply causes more of what they are attempting to extinguish... depression. On to my real point and the reason for placing the quotes from the poem above this statement. This poem appeals to females and every attempt is made to make males in general seem like snarling beasts as can be seen by the quotes. Whereas the girl in this poem is portrayed as an inocent victum and somhow has a perfect unfractured sense of "LOVE" when she is probably only in highschool and incapable of housing such true and deep emotions at her age, especially with somone she has never even talked to. Her very SOUL is said to be "delecate" when she herself, just like the boys has many flaws. These type of poems, especially ones that appeal to emotional GIRLS, sicken me and given the provided proof and information I am fully within my rights to say so, and have even proven my point as correct and valid, can it really be denied? I think not.I stopped reading this poem about 30 lines down due to its contradictory nature. I'm really depressed right now so sorry if I hurt anyones feelings, especially to the people who submit to the sadness that these poems attempt to bring forth within the hearts of the weak minded among us, whoever they may be...
How can you read that and not realize the truth about the poem... :-0 gasp. Anyways I'm happy now. Its a mediocre poem at best but like i said its condraticting and demoralizes men while at the same time making women out to have perfect and delecate souls (LoL) . I'm sorry, but I simply can not endorse such mind poison.
