Real good fucking example for this in the current time is the international scandal about Volkswagen (although you can say, other car manufacturers work with tricks too to make their cars appear more eco-friendly on the paper).
For years and years, nobody said anything about the quotas of their car models being wrong or containing anything dubious. Politicians shut their mouth - or, better say: They only had it in mind to continue earning money for the national economy with outdated technology for all eternity like time stands still.
How could another entity from overseas now only find that the cars all got a different practical quota in ejected gases than it says on the paper?
...Well, they found anything because they ought to find anything in a business war to damage a large competitor ( ... )

Oh, I wish I asked you. Because I was trying to find some scandals with well-known companies and all google finds is "how to cut costs and make you successful" type of junk. So much for a great search engine.

Don't mind it. Because it affects a German multinational car corporation, you hear anything about it here and then still. This needn't be the case in international media as it's most important for this country here.

Ah... When it comes down to "capitalists not caring about human life", remember the skyscraper which burnt down in England last year? There was also something like "using the cheapest heat insulation" and that's what made the whole thing burn down as it did.

Oh, yeah, that's the perfect example. Didn't give a flying F just to save money. I heard another case like this in the US now, forgot what state, maybe in NY, recently. Few people died again.

I think when musing a little longer about this, you and I come up with many more cases.

Guess, a case of "how politicians can only care about the Dollar symbols in their eyes too" is the famous mass panic at the last Love Parade event that took place (many years ago).

Yeah, I wish I consulted you first. But always short of time. Yesterday sat down and quickly wrote. Found whatever popped up. Next time I will ask you.

I never heard of Love Parade, though.

I'm always sort of a bit more dynamic with this, I guess...

The last Love Parade too place at Duisburg in 2010.
For this event, I think, there must also be some international coverage as it always was an international festival.

См. Дизельгейт.

У фанатов немецкого автопрома полыхнуло знатно - VAG это ведь не только Volkswagen, но ещё и Audi и Porsche.

Я не понимаю почему - пусть вон африканцы о своей экологии заботятся, тут успешные люди делом заняты.
