I almost forgot about livejournal until Samg had reminded me about it.
This used to be a staple in my everyday routine when I was 14. It is so crazy how I can look back at all of my entries and re-read what I wrote and think, "Oh my gosh...I did NOT say that...I am an idiot," it is amusing all the same.
So right now I am in wonderful Seattle sitting in this coffee shop called Chaco Canyon. It is amazing with all vegan food and some damn good smoothies. Seattle is absolutely beautiful and if I believe in love at first sight, this is definitely what it would feel like.
Today was interesting...Sam told me to go to the Seattle Public Library which is downtown so that means I have to take the bus...ALONE. Mind you, I am not scared just I don't really know where I am supposed to be going and I am easily distracted, BUT I was very excited to go on an adventure downtown by myself. It is only a 15-20 minute bus ride from where we are, but to say the least, I paid attention and arrived at my destination. The library was simply amazing and I couldn't even believe it was real! There are 10 floors, where one of them is absolutely red. Just RED. It was crazy getting off of the elevator at level 4 to be enveloped in what seemed to be pure Communism. I found some really cool books, including a book about Paul Klee.
I left the library, couldn't find a bus stop going to U-Dub; for those of you who don't know what U-Dub is, it is the University of Washington which is right by the apartment. But anyway, got lost, wound up in a part of the city called Capitol Hill and wandered onto a bus going to my destination and I was the only one on it! The bus driver and I had a great conversation about the hybrid buses, the lack of buses in Detroit, growing up in the suburbs and ignorance of people in the outskirts of Seattle, the climate change and other random things. He didn't want to charge me for the ride but I insisted on paying and thanked him for being so kind.
So here I am...waiting until 10 for when I have to leave and go get Sam from work.
The time will go by fast, it always does.
