After Journey's End
Dear Rose,
I have no idea why I'm writing you a postcard I can never send you. But if you could get this, without that being a sign that, like, the universe was going to collapse on itself and we were all in danger of being lunch for unspeakable monstrosities--
I'm doing well. I've got a bit of money, and a few mates, and a job with prospects, because I never said I'd give the world-saving up, did I? Well, I guess I didn't say much to you at all, and I'd apologise, only you kind of deserved it babe, sorry. The way the wind was blowing--
Anyway, what I mean to say is, I still miss you, and I still don't have a plan or anything, but it's like Jack says. Sometimes you just need to go, you know? And I did, and I am doing well, and I wish I could tell you that so you'd understand.
Love you,
Mickey
