Congratulations to the Green Bay Packers on winning Super Bowl XLV by a score of 31-25 over the Pittsburgh Steelers!! It is their league-leading 13th Championship and 4th in the Super Bowl era. The game was all Packers in the first half. Ben Rapistberger threw two interceptions that the Packers ran back or touchdowns. At the end of the first half, the Packers led by a score of 21-3. The Steelers closed the gap to 21-17 and 28-25 in the second half, but the Packers held on despite losing star cornerback Charles Woodson (a UMich alum) and receiver Donald Driver in the first half to injuries. Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers won the MVP and finally got the monkey off his back of replacing Brett Favre. Congratulations to Aaron and the entire Packers team and staff. Congrats especially to coach Mike McCarthy and GM Ted Thompson. They had a lot of balls to run Brett Favre out of town and it could easily have backfired in the short term and gotten them fired. I am impressed that they put their own asses on the line to do what was best for the team in the long term. Big Congratulations!
