U-M got SCREWED in it's Quarterfinal NCAA Hockey game against Miami (OH). It was a hard-fought game throughout and was tied at 2 at the end of regulation. In the first overtime period, Michigan appeared to have scored the winning goal. Everyone went nuts at b-dubs where I was watching the game. Then a few seconds later the ref called off the goal because the whistle had blown before the goal scored. The replay clearly shows that Miami's goaltender clearly did not have control of the puck and the whistle should not have blown. Unfortunately, the rules don't allow them to overturn it if the ref fucks up and blows the whistle too early. This is fucking horseshit! I have seen sooo many teams get screwed in the NHL and college hockey because of this rule and yet they don't change it. They should be allowed to count the goal if the ref fucks up and blows the whistle too soon. I was SCREAMING profanities at the TV! Everyone was sooooo pissed. That ref is a fuckface! Finally, Miami scored the winning goal in the 2nd overtime to win and go to the frozen four. It is doubly disappointing to lose that way since the Frozen Four is in Detroit this year! FUCKING A! I am soooo pissed!
