Seriously, people?

Okay, so, once upon a time, I made an error in Ring Around the Rosie when talking about the type of metal that made up the ring. I had done some research, and thought the information I had was accurate. Apparently, it was not. So, a wonderful lady by the name of fannishliss left a wonderful review and then sent me a private message letting me know about my error. Now, I REALLY appreciated that, and proceeded to flood her inbox with a million more questions about metal working.

I'm not one of those people who will never admit to being wrong. I don't mind when someone points out my errors. But dammit, BE DISCRETE, PEOPLE! Why do people feel the need to publicly point out everything you did wrong in a story? Because seriously, that's annoying. Private message the person, or mark the comment as private. You don't need to tell the whole world "OH THIS PERSON WAS WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG!"

Now, this has never happened to me personally...or if it has, I felt the criticism was inconsequential enough that I don't even remember. But this has happened recently to several people I know and love and my Momma Bear instincts are in full force. DON'T MESS WITH MY FRIENDS, KAY?

/end rant

Also, wrapping up chapter 15 of Defenders of the Earth, despite the fact that I've been fighting the muse for it for DAYS! Hopefully it will be up tomorrow! :-D

dote, oh em gee, i love my friends!
