night-time/cooling filter gradients

Dec 25, 2005 02:06

this is a gradient pack i made to use as a cooling filter for portraits as a companion to my suntan warming gradients. the regular cooling filters in photoshop use a flat blue color, but i like gradients because even the most subtle color changes can add a lot of extra depth to a photograph. filters help create the effect of coolness, night-time, moonlight, and also help even skin tones.

i'm sure most of you know how to use this stuff, but i included a mini tutorial as the preview graphic. by no means is that the universal setting for all of these. i know there are a lot of people who are just learning to dabble with photoshop and i just like to encourage bravely trying new things. remember to play with all your blending options, opacity and fills to get the effect you want. they can be used for all kinds of things, so have fun with it!

created in photoshop cs. unzip the .grd file into presets/gradients folder.

i can't make you credit me, but it would be nice if you commented if you take it. merci!
