That's right, the day you've been waiting for has finally (almost) arrived.
Higher Power, a new play from Little Red Square, has its world premiere at the Kansas City Fringe Festival on Thursday, July 27.
We're performing at the Just Off Broadway Theatre in Penn Valley Park. That's 3051 Central, for the address-inclined, and MapQuest directions are available on our website,
www.littleredsquare.com. In Higher Power, sex, drugs, rock and roll, and Catholicism collide in the lives of three young Midwesterners as a last-ditch drug deal becomes the undoing of family and friendships. Higher Power is the story of two brothers whose lives have taken wildly divergent paths - one, a recent college graduate now working at Blockbuster, the other, a small-time drug dealer. Their lives are united, though, within the course of a single night, when an old friend arrives with a fortune in drugs and a mysterious past.
Higher Power is a streetwise, alternately sexy, hilarious, and brutal morality tale in the tradition of Tape, This Is Our Youth, and Hurlyburly.
Tickets are $5 - however, in order to buy tickets you must have a $5 Fringe button, available at the door.
Showtimes are:
Thursday, July 27: 8:00 PM
Friday, July 28: 8:00 PM
Saturday, July 29: 5:00 PM
Sunday, July 30: 5:00 PM
Please arrive as early as possible - a half hour before showtime would be a good idea.
Be there. And say hello. We're excited to see you.
Minnesotans and New Yorkers - await further instructions.
Thanks,
Sam
