[Things have been slow at Luigi's the last few months, and as anyone in the restaurant business knows this simply will not do! In an effort to lure some business and money, Luigi's decided to throw a party and offer some specials for those who would like to attend. He's even made a flyer for this joyous event!]

Alex is sat at the bar, already halfway through a glass of house red.

"It's open. And expecting quite the turnout if the decor is any indication."

Alex shoots this woman a look because, well, here's the weird thing about Luigi's. People come from all different times and places and, in Alex's time-line, she hasn't actually met Louise yet. So she's a little confused.

"Sorry, do I know you?"

With a quizzical look, Alex decides to let it go. The Met is smaller than it seems, and being the only female DI, it's not unrealistic that this woman knew her by reputation.

"Oh, I see. You work for the Met, I presume?"

With a shrug, Alex ordered another drink from Luigi - and with it, her free steak and chips pizza.

"Formally? Have you been transferred?" She paused a moment. "That is, if you don't mind me asking."

Alex purses her lips and smiles compassionately. Luigi brings her a somewhat oily plate of steak and chips pizza, and she pushes it towards the woman.

"Don't tell him I said so," she says in a low, conspiratorial tone, "but he won't have much luck even giving these away. He'll have to start paying people to eat them before long."

Grinning, Alex shakes her head and returns her attention to the wine. It's less about the food for Alex and more of a tactic to help the poor woman loosen up. She seems a bit too high strung for a party.

"Oh, I doubt that. If anything, everyone knows about Luigi's steak and chips pizza." She shrugs and sips from her glass. "Sorry, I didn't get your name."

Alex shakes her hand and smiles again.

"It must be hard forgetting that isn't part of your name anymore."

Wondering if she's said the wrong thing, Alex pressed her lips together and pushes the plate of pizza towards her again.

"Go on, try it," she suggests. "Maybe you'll be the one poor sod in all of London that can stomach the rubbish."
