Omi actually likes just about everyone in camp (and he's always willing to talk to people). He trusts very, very few people. It's nothing personal; it's his job and his hideous family, but that's for another post. This is people who've made an impression. (Last updated 12/24.)
Wednesday: Wednesday is quite growing on Omi; her sense of humor and straightforwardness are appealing, though he still finds her a little creepy and kooky, mysterious and spooky...
Alice: There's something not quite right about her, but Omi likes her anyway.
Marco: Omi has a good feeling about Marco. He seems sensible, a rare quality in camp.
Tobias: Just meet, seems nice enough.
Anne: Is a sweetheart, and a fellow Friend of Cal. He's very grateful to Anne for her simple human decency, another rare quantity in camp.
Chiziru: Omi thinks Chizuru is great, and that she and Chisame are very good for each other.
Ishida Uryuu: Omi likes Ishida a lot, and trusts him very much. Somehow, he earned the badge of trust from Ishida, and he won't do anything to jeopardize that.
Yamada Hanatarou: Just met him at the dance; he seems very shy but nice.
Bob: Talks too much.
Buffy Summers: Someone else who's had to kill for a living. Omi really likes her and considers her a good friend. The first person Omi clearly outed the assassin thing to.
Faith: Doesn't trust her from Buffy's recommendation but is willing to give her a chance.
Xander Harris: Friend of Buffy. Must be a good person.
Nokoru Imonoyama: Seems nice enough.
Alex: Violent and confusing.
Bart: Total pure fun. Omi'd like to hang out with him more.
Starfire: Doesn't know her at all well, but she seems nice.
Kon: Another person Omi really likes. Omi's trusted him with the assassin thing too, and is glad Kon doesn't seem to judge him too much for what he does.
Robin: Omi's getting a feel for his personality and he kind of likes Robin now (not that he didn't before, what with the approval from Bart and Kon, which is pretty much a guaranteed in).
George: Omi hasn't seen much of her, but he likes what he's seen so far; she seems smart and competent and is a way better dancer than he is.
L: Omi doesn't trust L-- he's got too much hold on M and N for Omi to be comfortable, other wacky camp hijinks aside.
Mello: Isn't he pretty, oh, yes. Mello seems so sweet under all that attitude, so Omi keeps approaching him and reminding himself that Mello has a boyfriend and is jailbait.
Near: Omi doesn't know Near well enough to quite trust him. He seems all right though. His impression of the L/M/N relationship makes him more sympathetic than he would normally be.
Susan: Omi hasn't had a chance to talk with her much but she gets bonus points for being a Friend of Cal.
Raenef: Not your typical Demon Lord. Omi has a good impression so far.
Da Qiao: Seems sweet and is a good cook!
Huang Yue Ying: Lady Ying is smart, sweet, and makes arrows. Omi likes her a lot.
Ling Tong: Hasn't talked with him much (actually met in CFUW), but Omi likes him too. He seems to treat Heine well, which is nice.
Lu Xun: Very friendly. Omi's still not sure how bright he is, but he's realizing he underestimated him.
Megan: It's a miracle Omi didn't get engaged again when he met her, but somehow they've gotten to be friends.
Excel: Is insane. But a fun insane, so Omi's reached out to her more lately. Her bout of sanity made Omi understand her a lot better.
Kaylee: Just met, as a little girl, so Omi doesn't have an impression yet really.
River Tam: Only knew her in passing the first time, hasn't met the second time.
Simon Tam: Mixed feelings here. On one hand, sensible and straightforward; on the other, he seems pretty arrogant. Omi's witholding judgement.
Hanajima Saki: Omi hasn't seen her around lately and would like to. Her powers are...interesting to say the least, and she seems pretty interesting too. He tried to talk her out of her funk when she was worried about them.
Tohru Honda: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ She and Omi share dead mom angst. And she is very, very sweet. ((DROPPED BUT I DON'T CARE, TOHRU-CHAN.))
Sohma Hatsuharu: Fiance. Boyfriend. See
other entry for details. ♥
Sohma Hiro: So much attitude in one little twerp...
Sohma Kisa: Seems sweet and very...damaged, for want of a better word.
Sohma Yuki: Omi's inclined to like him, but doesn't know him well at all.
Uotani: Ditto, though he's still miffed Uo thought he was younger than he was. XD
He's noticed the animal usernames for all the Jyuunishi and he figures something's up, but he certainly has no idea what.
Alphonse Elric: Is a nice, sweet kid. Omi's glad he's out of his armor, and was really flattered and surprised when Al told him it didn't come off a while back. He trusts Al quite a bit but wants to keep him safe. They both sort of dance around the really awful things with each other.
Ed Elric: Also seems nice. Omi's impressed that Ed seems to care for and respect Al as much as Al cares and respects for Ed.
Envy: Just met. Scary.
Fletcher Tringham: Also a nice, sweet kid, but seems to be handling the weirdness of camp pretty well.
Russel Tringham: Really starting to like Russel, and wishing him luck with Meer. Omi's looking forward to learning more plant alchemy from the Tringhams.
Sagara Sousuke: Omi respects Sousuke's dedication and is somewhat amused by his singlemindedness.
Izumi Shion: Such a cute panda! Omi's not really surprised the guy's capable of random and psychotic violence, but he's still disappointed.
Nishi Jouichirou: Omi's getting used to him.
Athrun Zala: Omi got to know Athrun a little after Rey shot him, and Omi likes him a lot. He seems very level-headed for a Gundam pilot and strong.
Cagalli Yula Athha: Omi really admires her strength, standing up to Dullindal and for herself. And he totally remembers the basketball now, whut.
Deartha Elkman: Doesn't mind drinking Ashjuice. Omi feels this sums it up.
Heine Westenfluss: Omi still trusts Heine more than anyone else at camp, even though they haven't talked much lately.
Lacus Clyne: Singer, right?
Jona Roma Saran: Doesn't know well, but seems nice enough.
Lunamaria Hawke: Seems sweet and funny.
Meer Campbell: The biggest reason Omi's concerned about Gil is actually how quickly Meer turned back into "Lacus Clyne."
Miguel Ayman: Miguel is pretty entertaining. Omi'd like to get to know him better.
Rey Za Burrell: See
long entry. Or, if you prefer, "my crazy clone mecha pilot ex" or however the hell Omi described him last.
Rusty MacKenzie: Just met, seems nice enough.
Shinn Asuka: What the fuck. Seriously, What. The. Fuck. How did they put this guy in charge of a giant robot? How?
Yzak Jule: First came off as a petty little bitch, which probably hasn't changed, but Omi's impressed by his willingness to stand up and be independent from Gil, though.
Tolle: Seems very easy-going, which is nice.
Vino: See Tolle. XD
Quatre Winner: Omi hasn't got a real sense of him, but he seems quite sweet.
Oscar M. Himejima: Met under the mistletoe. Seems a nice guy if a little flaky and excellent kisser.
Luna Lovegood: Good first impression, but hasn't talked with her more since then.
Tom Riddle: Omi doesn't trust him. At all. His relationship with Cal makes Omi very nervous.
Miroku: Is nice, and friendly. And annoying as hell with the groping thing. Omi has mixed feelings.
Phédre: Oh, boy, is she hot. And very...magnetic in personality. She seems smart and is adjusting to camp well. Omi likes her quite a bit.
Wolfram: Omi likes him and is really, really grateful he's either forgotten or is pretending to have forgotten Halloween.
Himura Rikuou: Snarky little bastard. Omi likes. And they share sister angst. Yay.
Kudou Kazahaya: Omi's still getting to know him. Impression's good so far. (And no, Rikuou and Kazahaya aren't kidding anyone.)
Tetra: Very straightforward and smart. Nice to have another archer in camp.
Evangeline: Omi likes her! She's just a little bit evil which is kind of hot.
Hasegawa Chisame: Omi likes Chisame very much. They were the founding members of the Try to Keep Rey From Going Batshit Society but her own merits are really what won him over.
Haruno Sakura: Sakura seems sweet.
Hyuuga Neji: Cured Omi's brainwashing. ♥ Would like to spar with him sometime.
Yakushi Kabuto: Omi trusts him more than he should. Make that way more. Omi considers Kabuto the person who gave him back his mother, and his loyalty to Kabuto is now damn near absolute.
Yamanaka Ino: Ino seems straightforward and fun. Omi likes her too.
Uzimaki Naruto: Simple, straightforward. Omi looks forward to learning from him.
Rei: Just met, and boy, is she quiet.
Ari: Omi really cares for Ari. Another person Omi trusts and wants to protect.
Linda: Seems flaaaky.
Rosalyn: Omi likes her ambition and her straightforwardness.
Stan: Stan makes Ari unhappy. And then made Ami unhappy. Omi dislikes Stan. A lot.
Ash Ketchum: Is the special kind of stupid. Omi tells himself Ash means well.
Ibu Shinji: Just met. Omi offered him a room in his old.
Inui Sadaharu: ...oh, my. Omi gambled and miscalculated, badly, by telling him the truth, and having the whole Halloween fiasco happen immediately after didn't help. Omi likes Inui very much and is kind of walking on eggshells at the moment. Update: Things are much better with Inui now. Yay.
Mizuki Hajime: Mizkui might be evil. Omi might not mind.
Niou Masaharu: Nicer than you'd think.
Yanagi Renji: Omi's really starting to like Renji and he's hoping he and Inui can work things out.
Ranma Satome: Straightforward and likeable, though maybe not that bright.
Hibiki Ryouga: Yet another member of the Rey fanclub, or something. Seems really nice, but wow does he live up to his username.
Liaoyuan Huo: Intriguing guy. Omi's curious.
Molly Hayes: Sweet! Owes Omi some heavy lifting sometime.
Mizuno Ami: Ah. Ami. Omi was interested in Ami, but very hesitant to start anything after the flaming trainwreck that was Rey/Omi. At some point Hatsuharu just...slipped in. Omi hopes he didn't hurt her feelings too much, and still wants to be her friend.
Son Goku: Sort of bouncy and not that bright a little out there, but nice. Omi's grateful he saved his life and that Goku seems nowhere near as stupid as Ash.
Haine: Seems very sweet and friendly.
Heather Morris: Another tough female fighter. You know Omi likes that. A little more about her in the history post.
Naga: Ash with gravity-defying breasts. The hell.
Minashiro Soushi: Hello,
history post. or, Omi's not speaking to Soushi any more if he can help it.
Wesley Crusher: Omi still likes Wes, and thinks he was a good cabinmate.
Jacen Solo: Is very friendly and seems more...practical than the other Jedi.
Obi-Wan Kenobi: Omi likes Obi-Wan a lot and hopes he can not break Megan's heart too much.
Momoko Hanasaki: Another line of hearts for Momoko, who is sweet and kind and friendly in a very comforting way.
Nagi Naoe: W HALO THERE NAGI. Omi really holds not much ill-will toward Nagi-- Nagi never seemed overly sadistic about doing his job-- but he's suspicious and is likely to stay that way.
Tot: Omi's gotten over his initial homocidal impulse with Tot, but he still doesn't trust her at all and is worried about what she might do to his friends.
Elphaba Thropp: Omi doesn't know her very well but he kind of likes her. He really appreciates her work during the heart-cutting thing.
Toboe: Seems very, very sweet.
Caeru: Gets points for being a parent, but Omi's going to be standoffish because of the Cal thing.
Cal: Oh, Cal. Omi adores him, basically, in a friendly kind of way.
Details here. Azuma Kazuma: Baker! A nice roomate. Omi feels kind of sorry for him-- he's waaay too ordinary for this camp.
Kurama, Kazuma, and Yuusuke all fall into the 'don't know well enough/positive impression' camp. XD
Counselors:
Ishida Ryuuken: Omi approaches with caution in a big way-- he trusts Uryuu, and that leads him to distrust Ryuuken.
Urahara Kisuke: ♥ So discreet!
Minagawa Hifumi: Despite the whole gingerbread gone wrong thing, Omi likes the cook very much.
Dante: Omi likes Dante a lot, though he hasn't seen much of him.
Lord Il Palazzo: Perhaps even more insane than Excel. Omi joined his band because he thought it would be fun and it would keep him out of any other trouble. Heh.
Malcolm Reynolds: Omi likes him and considers breaking his brain a fun side hobby.
Gilbert Dullindal: Takatori Reiji, Part 2. Yay.
Malcolm Reynolds: Omi enjoyed playing with his head a little too much, but overall he likes Mal.
Sohma Aayame: A flake, but a likeable one.
Alex Louis Armstrong: Omi likes him...but keeps his distance from the sparkling.
Izumi Curtis: Could kick his ass with one hand tied behind her back. Omi likes her and fears slightly.
Jean Havoc: Omi likes Havoc quite a bit.
Maes Hughes: Omi likes Hughes too! He likes his whole 'admiring dad' thing.
Riza Hawkeye: Another kickass woman. Yay.
Roy Mustang: His lovelife is providing useful entertainment. Omi approves.
Gilbert Dullindal: Omi dislikes Dullindal on general principle, and his control over Rey and Meer makes him dislike him more. He's keeping quiet about it, but if Russel or one of the others moves against him, they'll have Omi's support.
Umeda Hokuto: Useful, gay, good-looking. Omi is fine wtih this.
Gwendal von Walde: Omi likes Gwendal and wants to be helpful. Also, Gwendal was so sweet and sympathetic over the engagement thing.
Arsene Lupin III: Omi likes him quite a bit so far.
Snake: Omi thinks the box trick is silly, but he does kind of like Snake.
Tusnade: akjdakldfjkl;df. Hot, smart, and can kick Omi's ass? Woot.
Genjo Sanzo: Anger management issues, what? Mostly Omi steers clear and is very polite also to cut down on the playercest whut.
Sha Gojyo: Omi really likes Gojyo; he can be kind of a jerk but he was serious and respectful when Omi came to him for advice.
Wolfwood: Seems very nice, but his judgement isn't always great.
Schuldig: Omi might hate Schuldig. He shot Omi's sister. And then laughed. However, Omi knows if he kills Schuldig he'll just come back and he probably can't kill Schuldig anyway...so it's a truce for now. He will hum catchy and annoying pop tunes in his head endlessly in his head.
Urameshi Atsuko: She's boozy and strange, but willing to share.
And the answer to the question: Why did Omi told so many people about the assassin thing He panicked, basically, with the entrance of Schuldig and Gil in camp. He's smart enough to realize that anything he's told Rey-- which was quite a lot-- could go directly to Gil, and Schuldig played rather viciously with his friends once before. Ouka's death affected him deeply, and he doesn't want anyone else to be led around with half-truths the way she was. He's held off on any more confessions, perhaps permanently, after Inui's bad reaction.
