Stupid Losers
With all of the bony bitches parading around Hollywood today, and tabloids exploiting their eating disorders, you'd think that a woman of healthy, average size might be applauded in the media - at least by some.
First off, I'd like to say that I hate Jessica Simpson. She's whiny, irritating, Disney-esque, and while her music isn't the worst I've ever heard, it's not really good either.
But good lord, she's not fat. Just because she chose to wear some nerdy jeans does not make her obese, or even overweight. She looks like a totally average woman to me. I wouldn't call her overweight at all . I think many women would be happy to have her figure. So now she's reduced to tears because everyone's calling her a fatty.
You know, I stay away from tabloids and haven't turned on the TV in months, but I cannot totally avoid this stuff on the Intertubez. Almost every big name actress today is starving to death to the point of seeing their ribs between their breasts, yet a woman with a totally normal body is mocked just as cruelly, if not more so.
Oh, yeah, our culture is post-feminist. o_O
Edit: You know I'd like to add that Jess is on the slim side of average. I wouldn't catagorize her as even being truly voluptuous.
