3. finally getting my airfreight and opening the boxes is like Christmas in August, multiplied by the love/relief of having my stuff back, so it's like every Christmas morning, ever.
3.5 the records came through just fine. Air New Zealand Cargo Services rules all air freight.
4. I'm LESS of a hoarder than I used to be, comparing airfreight to stuff in storage.
5. a lot can change over 2 years. they have fried sushi here now.
6. rains every day, several times
7. no hot water in apt. oh fuck, no. I think the previous tenant was conciencious and turned the power to the hot water cylinder off at the mains. oh, thank you, power-saving previous tenant. I flipped the switches back and have waited all day, hoping to go back home to hot water and if not I'm gonna lose it.
8. also, washing machine does not work. It fills with icy water, but does not work or drain.
