He's currently taking the smart route and running through everyone's backyards and frontyards (staying close to houses is actually way safer than running on a sidewalk, y'know)! Well nevermind, Ren is taking a nap under the tree, but hears you with its super hearing. ]

[Woody looks all ways for any sign of danger before walking out. He can't understand you, but he's fond of animals nonetheless! You're like a big puppy-cat to the little cowboy.]

Heeey, little fella. Well, big fella, to me. I've never seen a fox living in a neighborhood like this before.

[ Ren flicks its ears, raising its head up to look at the... small thing that is talking to it. And blinking. And who are you calling a puppy-cat you bastard!

It gets up, carefully getting closer to Woody and sniffing him. ]

[Woody pats your nose nervously, hoping you're not like a normal dog or Scud. He would rather not get chewed on this fine day... He speaks, a little nervous.]

Hi, there! I'm Woody. Nice to meet you.

[ ... well, you're the second talking toy it has met in this town, so it is just going to nod its head for you and try if you can understand it.

"I'm Ren."

But for Woody's ears, it's going to sound like regular yapping. ]

[Nope, Woody doesn't get the sound at all! But he assumes you're telling him, so he pats your shoulder happily.]

You're pretty nice. Thanks for not turning me into a chew toy.

[ Ren rolls its eyes, poking Woody with its snout.

"Hmm... so you're like Sakutaro, huh..." ]

[Pokety poke--yep! He's all cloth and cotton. He still can't understand you, but it's the thought that counts--and he's pretty close to a normal reply.]

Yep, yep, I'm a toy. You ever speak to a toy before?

[ He doesn't look like Sakutaro, but the smell is almost the same, so Ren nods at him.

It then tilts its head a bit.

"So where are you off to?" ]

[Whoa, the fox just nodded at him. Awesome to see it understands!]

Uh, you wouldn't happen to know how to get outta here, do you? This 'Mayfield' place?

[ "There's no way out", but as Woody doesn't really understand fox, Ren shakes its head also. ]

[Woody sighs, sitting down and resting his chin in his palms.]

[ Ren gets up to sit also, waving its tail a bit, while curiously looking at Woody. It would help you, but it's hard to help someone, when you can only answer yes or no to their questions. ]

[Indeed, that can be a little bit hard to figure out. Woody sits there for a while and then waves his hand at the air--] What am I going to do? A little toy like me can't possibly figure out how to break free of a weird place like this.

[ Ren sighs, giving a slight poke with its snout to assure Woody he's going to be okay. ]

[He lets out a little sigh and pats the fox's nose again.]

Looks like we're both stuck here.
