Twas the best thing I saw in the San Bernardinos.
I heard lichens choking as they chewed on the smoggy air from the LA Basin. The morphs we saw were creepily contorted and suggested secondary disease. Most expected species were just absent.
Black oaks have a strange wilt that makes their new leaves crumble off.
And mistletoe was abundant on all tree species
Its a sick, sick place. It made me sneezy and my eyes burny and my nose bloody to be running around at high elevations with air so thick with particulates and ozone.
