MEMORIAL WEEKEND APPROACHETH! You all know what that means.
So. This year, the annual Memorial Day Game Weekend and Paratrooper Toss is going to be at my place, starting on Saturday and lasting until Monday-ish. I don't have class that weekend, so we can get started whenever on Saturday-although Rockville is having a library sale on Saturday morning, so I'd like to go to that first. That lasts until three, and there are concerts and such all weekend (including Taste of Rockville, which...um. Is either really cool or deeply disturbing), so at some point we should definitely make the trek to Town Center.
Originally we had planned to watch the epic disaster that will be the Hatfields and McCoys (with Bill Paxton!) but I guess that doesn't start until Monday night? So instead, I'd like to propose a marathon rewatch of Marvel superhero movies, along with seeing BATTLESHIP at some point over the weekend. (And/or The Raven, and/or an Avengers rewatch? IDEK, other than BATTLESHIP, I hadn't made any other plans. I will be seeing BATTLESHIP and dragging Shelly with me, but I suppose everyone else has some sort of choice in the matter.)
I think by now everyone knows how this works-grilling and alcohol on Saturday night, and brunch on Sunday, with other meals and plans dependent on what we actually feel like doing and what people bring. This year's paratrooper drop is tentatively scheduled for Sunday evening at the neighborhood playground, but I'm willing to be convinced otherwise.
Fair warning, NYC 22 is on Sunday night and is non-negotiable viewing at my house. You don't have to watch, but we only have one television and it'll be tuned to Stark Sands.
