Umm I think he means the songs nowadays sound the same (brave sound etc) and the choreos are all synchronized and perect, this and that. Like how idols are perceived as perfect. Their style is more laid back, based on strong vocals and a not-so-perfect choreo etc. I don't think they're necessarily talking about any 'idol' things outside of promotions. I think.
