In light of this morning’s plane crash in Muan, the 2024 MBC Entertainment Awards will no longer be taking place.
On December 29, MBC announced that the award ceremony-which was originally scheduled to be held at 8:30 p.m. KST-would not be airing that day.
Instead of the 2024 MBC Entertainment Awards, the network will be airing special news coverage of the plane crash. (MBC also previously announced that “The King of Mask Singer” would be taking the night off due to coverage of the crash.)
Meanwhile, KBS has cancelled all of its Sunday variety show broadcasts for today. The shows that will not be airing today include “2 Days & 1 Night Season 4,” “Gag Concert,” and “Boss in the Mirror.”
Actor Hyun Bin's JTBC 'Newsroom' interview schedule for 6:30pm KST has been postponed until further notice due to the Muan Airport Jeju Air plane crash.
Hyun Bin and director Woo Min-ho were scheduled to meet viewers to promote their film 'Harbin 하얼빈' currently in theaters.
