Happy Friday! Every week I check the charts for this day in the past and share the top three songs. Then I pick out two more from my top ten as honorable mentions. This week, we are going back to the 4th week in October, 2016. The top three have been posted before, so we’ll see some comeback stages.
#3 Red Velvet “Russian Roulette”
This was the lead single from the group’s 3rd EP of the same name. The song would debut at #3 on the charts before peaking at the #2 spot. It is one of the group’s biggest selling songs. #2 Apink “Only One”
2016 was a very busy year for the group outside of Korea. In the midst of it, they returned to release their 3rd full Korean album, “Pink Revolution”. It was the group’s first Korean release in over a year. Here’s their comeback stage at Music Core.

#1 SHINee “1 Of 1”
Sandwiched in between Japanese activities, the group returned to Korea with their 5th full Korean album. This was the lead single from the album of the same name. Here’s their comeback stage at Music Core.

Honorable Mentions
#6 Sechs Kies “Three Words”
After a group reunion on Infinite Challenge in April, five of the six members signed contracts under YG. This was their first release together following their disbandment in 2000. The song was written by Tablo, and would top the charts.

#7 Infinite “The Eye”
This was the lead single from the group’s 6th EP, “Infinite Only”. The album would peak at #1 on the charts, and the song in the top ten. The song would also win a trio of music show trophies, one at each major music show.
