Flashback Friday
Every week I check the charts for this day in the past and share the top three songs. Then I pick out two more from the top ten as honorable mentions. This week we are going back to the 1st week in September, 2018. Here’s a bunch of songs that I don’t remember! I remember nothing. Zip. Zero. Maybe you remember something.
#3 (G)I-DLE “Alone”
This was the follow up to the group’s debut earlier in the spring. It was a standalone single, and would be their first song to break into the top ten on the charts.
#2 Mamamoo “Egotistic”
This was the lead single of the group’s EP, “Red Moon”. Again, I remember nothing about this.
#1 Red Velvet “Power Up”
This was the single from the group’s special summer EP, “Summer Magic”. I probably don’t remember this song because it was the follow up to “Bad Boy” and I was still jamming to that nonstop well into 2021.
Honorable Mentions
#7 iKON “Killing Me”
This was the lead single from their first EP, “New Kids: Continue”. I only know this song because of their appearance on Kingdom lol. I like it, though.
#8 Apink “I’m So Sick”
This was the title track of the group’s mini, “One & Six”. The song would peak at #3 on the charts, and the album at the top spot.
