Every week I check the charts for this day in the past and share the top three songs. Then I pick out two more from the top ten as honorable mentions. This week, we are going back to the 1st week in February, 2016. The charts were kinda mellow this week.
#3 MC the Max “No Matter Where”
This was the lead single from the album, “Pathos”, their first comeback in two years since “Wind That Blows”. The group would also go on a national tour to celebrate the album’s release and the group’s 16 year anniversary. The song would achieve an all-kill on the charts, and is their biggest selling song.

#2 Gfriend “Rough”
This was the lead single from the group’s EP, “Snowflake”, and the last song in Gfriend’s high school trilogy. It was the follow up to “Me Gustas Tu”, and would be their first #1 on the charts. The group would also get their first music show win with this song, followed by 14 more wins. They would be nominated for a bunch of year end awards, and win a handful of them. It’s been awhile, so let’s check out the MV again.

#1 Taeyeon “Rain”
This was the very first release that SM would release for their new SM Station. The song would debut at the top spot, and is still Station’s best selling song. I don’t remember this at all. Here’s her performance of the song on Sketchbook.

#6 Winner “Baby Baby”
Almost two years following their debut, Winner would come back with their first EP, “Exit: E”. They had an interesting way of promoting this song, instead of normal teasers they had other artists cover the songs. For this particular song, it was covered by Lee Hi, Taeyang, Zion.T, and Dean. Honestly, a gutsy choice. Because how do you know what version people are going to prefer? Like, it’s YOUR song, but I just want Dean to sing it now lol. Anyway! Here’s their comeback stage at M Coundtown.

#8 Mamamoo “I Miss You”
This was a pre-release track before the group would drop their first full album a month later. The song would do well and peak at #7 on the charts. But it would be the album’s lead single, “You’re The Best” that would be the group’s biggest hit. There was no MV for this song, so here’s a stage from M Countdown.
