Flashback Friday
Happy Friday! Every week I go through the charts for this day in the past and share the top three songs. Then I pick out two more from the top ten as honorable mentions. This week, we’ll check out what was on top for the 2nd week in December 2013. 10 YEARS! I have some memories of these songs, maybe you remember more.
#3 Davichi “Letter”
They would wrap up a busy 2013 with this digital single, which would hit the top spot on the charts. I don’t remember this song at all. But it feels very much like a Davichi song. Here’s the duo’s comeback stage on Music Core.
#2 2NE1 “Missing You”
The group would release a trio of singles this year, and this would be the last for 2013. It would be their best seller for the year and peak at #1. I LOVED the styling this era so much! So fab and expensive and they looked so good. Here’s their comeback stage on M Countdown.
#1 Hyolyn “One Way Love”
This song would serve as her solo debut, from her solo debut album “Love & Hate”. Both singles would chart in the top five, with this one hitting the top spot. I mostly remember the choreography from this. The song comes second lol. Here’s a stage from M Countdown.
Honorable Mentions
#4 Miss A “Hush”
Most definitely know I’m in the minority, but this song does nothing for me. But I LOVED the styling this era so much. This was the title track of the group’s album of the same name. It would also end up being their penultimate release. Here’s a stage from Music Core. They looked so damn good this era!
#10 Gummy & Wheesung “Special Love”
Despite being under YG together for years, they didn’t release anything until after they both left the company. Like, a month after Gummy left lol. The song was written and composed by Wheesung. The song did very well and would chart in the top three. They didn’t promote, so here’s the audio.
