Happy 1st of the month! Every week I go through the charts for this day in the past and post the top three songs. Then I pick out two more from the top ten as honorable mentions. This week we are going back to see what was on top for the 1st week in December, 2014. I remember exactly one and a half songs this week lol. Maybe you remember more.

#3 Hyolyn & Jooyoung featuring Iron “Erase”
Surprise surprise, it’s a Starship collab! For Jooyoung’s first release under Starship X, he partnered with Sistar’s Hyolyn. I don’t remember this at all. The duo worked together two more times. Once in 2015, and more recently last year with Hyolyn’s “Layin’ Low”. Here’s their debut stage at Music Core.

#2 AOA “Like A Cat”
2014 was the group’s big breakout year, and they would end the year with this release. It was the lead single of the group’s EP of the same name. It is one of their biggest selling songs. I loved this era so much! Most definitely in my AOA top three. Here’s their stage from KBS Gayo with a remix.

#1 Kyuhyun “At Gwanghwamun”
In addition to Super Junior activities and three musicals, he would make his solo debut in 2014. This was the lead single from his debut mini album of the same name. It was a huge hit. It would reach the top spot and is his biggest selling song. It was also nominated for a bunch of year end awards, in addition to winning a trophy at pretty much every music show. It’s been a while, so let’s see the MV again.

Honorable Mentions

#7 Got7 “Stop It Stop It”
The group would wrap up their debut year with this song. Why did I think they were around before 2014? But then again, that YG/JYP match for that WIN show was in 2013, so I guess it checks out. Anywho! This was the lead single from the group’s first full album, “Identify”. I do not remember this era at all.

#8 Beast “12:30”
To mark their 5th anniversary, the group released a new EP, “Time”. This was the lead single. Both the album and the song were a hit, charting at #1 and #2. This is the half song that I remember lol. I remember the chorus, but only when it’s playing. Here’s their comeback stage at Music Bank.
