Everyone thinks New Jeans started the Y2K trend I guess? Which is silly.
I feel like they are more taking from actual Y2K groups like FINKL. Like - this is giving me To My Boyfriend vibes 100%. From outfits to sound. But this is the updated version.
I saw someone post somewhere that they were bringing the REAL Y2K sound and styling to kpop (vs the 2023 Y2K styling). And honestly....I feel it on the styling front.
And YES! - I am probably one of the only people who love the super awkward overly bright closeups. That's giving me old school Hello Project feels and I am HERE for it.
Song is alright. It sounds like a video game song honestly. They obviously are sinigng at a way higher range than is comfortable which is very old schoool. They are cute. I kinda want the song as my ringtone. Quick - let me record is from my computer speakers Y2K style. hahahaha!

I just realized 2 out of 5 of the jerseys they are wearing are Houston Rockets. hahaha!
