Flashback Friday

Happy Friday! Every week I go through the charts for this day in the past and share the top three songs. Then I pick out two more from the top ten as honorable mentions. This week, we are going back to the 3rd week in July, 2013. It’s Ladies Night!

#3 Apink “No No No”
This was the lead single from the group’s EP, “Secret Garden”. It was their first song to chart in the top ten. I remember this being EVERYWHERE at the time. I feel like they promoted this for forever on the music shows lol. It is still one of their biggest selling songs. The group would make their Japanese debut with a Japanese verison of the song. Here's a Music Core stage.

#2 Davichi “Missing You Today”
This was the title track of the duo’s single album, “Memories Of Summer”. Not much I could find about this single. It would peak at #2 on the charts, and would sell well too. They didn’t promote the song on the music shows, and I couldn’t find any live stages. So here’s the music video once again.

#1 2NE1 “Falling In Love”
This was the first of the three non album singles that the group would release in 2013. Apparently the year that YG told them 2NE1 was over, and yet another reason he could go fuck himself. But I digress. I love that wig on Minzy lol. It’s a fun summer song. Here’s their comeback stage on Music Core.

Honorable Mentions

#5 Brown Eyed Girls “Recipe”
This was a pre-release digital single before release of the group’s “Black Box” album later in the month. The song was produced by Primary, and with lyrics by Miryo and Dynamic Duo’s Choiza. “Black Box” was their only group promtions for the year. JeA and Gain release solo work, and Miryo and Narsha would debut their M&N sub-unit.

#10 Lim Kim “All Right”
After placing in the top 3 of Superstar K 3, her Togeworl duo-mate had to return to the US. It was decided that she would make her solo debut, and she would do it with this song. This was the single from her EP, “A Voice”, and it was a hit. It would peak at #2 on the charts, and is still her biggest selling single. Here’s a stage from Show Champion.
