i think what i mean is don't only rely on the "pretty", but do add a wow factor to your performance. i think the boys season shows that a lot bc the winner(s) rely a lot on their concept. like bora's concept is also pretty and she has great vocals, but she also had something more, something interesting in her performance.
another example i guess would be jiwon. i don't think she showcased a lot of "skill" but her concept carries her to more than she should be. edit: i just rewatched her performance, and she did sing a lot. so i guess my sentence was unfair to her. but it would be just another sing and dance performance if the choreo wasnt that. with breaking the heels, running up the back of her dancers and the whole red carpet, it makes it much more. and i think a lot of the contestant don't realize that. like the boyz performances on this show were great solely bc of their choreo/concept basically. i think that's a very persuasive factor.
this batch's performances kinda paled in comparison to last week's. nothing really stood out here. I'm not sure if they weren't given enough time to prep or they were not familiar with the stage, but a lot of them clearly haven't had much solo/showcase experience and it shows with them going through motions, looking at the floor, counting the beats unfortunately

I also preferred last week’s performances. I did enjoy Yeeun, Yeonhee & Hwiseo’s stages.
I don’t think Seoyeon deserved the most down votes- you can see her dancings not as good as experienced idols but she wasn’t BAD… still, it seems like her & Jiwoo are just happy to be there.
Juri had some room for improvement. Idk Rocket Punch & she seems super bubbly and funny so I wanted to root for her, but it was like a Sunmi tribute act lol.. same for JooE!

considering the backlash when lvlz performed sixth sense on queendom, maybe she was afraid to step outside the box again. kind of a catch-22 :(

Same goes for Chaerin and Bicycle.
Juri did well performing Heart Burn but her voice does not fit the song, it's too deep.
I feel like this show just proves that some members need a group to shine on stage and are not made to be a solo performer.
