CLC’s Sorn has shared a personal apology for her recent Harper’s Bazaar Singapore pictorial.

This week, Harper’s Bazaar Singapore came under fire for a photo shoot starring Sorn. The Singaporean magazine released several photos of Sorn with hair that some criticized as cultural appropriation, and as the controversy grew, they eventually deleted the photos from their website.

On June 16, Sorn’s agency WILD released a formal apology in which they stated in English, “We hear and understand the concerns raised regarding the recent editorial shoot with Harper’s Bazaar Singapore, we are currently prioritising and protecting our artist’s well-being. While the styling of the shoot was solely under the jurisdiction of the publication, we deeply apologise for our own oversight and for the offence we may have caused. We are working hard to rectify the situation.”

The following day, Sorn also took to Twitter to personally apologize for the photo shoot.
