I have always felt uncomfortable seeing them in Tokyo especially because there's always one or two girls in front of the bar asking costumers to enter. I didn't care that much about the costume but they looked so young. I don't think they were always maid cafes, sometimes the girls had school uniforms and it was really disturbing.

but then another maid started doing a whole fan chant with lightsticks for her colleague which made us laugh because she was going so hard.

Not that I think maid cafes don't have their own issues but...the way this is written makes it sound like this is a message from a different dimension of Seoul where brothels don't exist. Of all the woman hating and objectification on bold display this is a problem? Really? Like having to wear uncomfortable embarrassing clothing and pretending we're interested in men isn't an actively enforced part of 99% of women's jobs to begin with.

maid cafe concept sound kinda weird for me ... then again its part of "japanese experience"

now maid cafe outside japan , thats a diferent thing

i read about maid cafe here in latam but i dont think its the same
