February 17, 2023 On February 16, FNC Entertainment officially announced that both N.Flying’s Kim Jae Hyun and Seo Dong Sung would be enlisting in the near future, though they have not yet received their exact enlistment dates.
As the youngest member of N.Flying, Seo Dong Sung is not required to enlist in the military just yet. However, in the hopes of minimizing the band’s overall hiatus caused by the members’ military service, Seo Dong Sung has decided to enlist earlier than necessary.
Kim Jae Hyun and Seo Dong Sung will be the final members of N.Flying to enlist, as Cha Hun previously announced earlier this month that he would be enlisting on March 20. Yoo Hwe Seung fulfilled his mandatory military service prior to his debut with N.Flying, while Lee Seung Hyub was exempted from service due to a past injury.
FNC Entertainment’s full announcement is as follows:
"Hello, this is FNC Entertainment.
We are making an announcement regarding N.Flying’s Kim Jae Hyun’s and Seo Dong Sung’s military enlistment.
In accordance with the Military Manpower Administration’s enlistment protocol, Kim Jae Hyun is currently awaiting his enlistment date.
In order to minimize N.Flying’s hiatus, Seo Dong Sung has also decided to enlist in the military, and he has already completed his application to enlist [early].
We will inform you through a notice when Kim Jae Hyun’s and Seo Dong Sung’s military enlistment dates have been determined.
We are currently making efforts so that each member can carry out his military duty well, and we are also making concrete plans and preparations for N.Flying’s-as well as each individual member’s-future activities.
We are always thankful for the love you give to N.Flying, and we ask that you continue to give N.Flying’s activities your interest and support in the future as well.
Thank you."
