2022 was a great year to be a girlgroup stan. Not only did girls dominate the entire K-pop industry all year long and took over the
Melon top 10 in September, us hags even got the chance to see some of our 2nd generation faves perform again after years of being inactive. Let's sit back and relive this phenomenal year again.
April:
2NE1 reunite at Coachella In April of this year, CL, who performed at Coachella as part of the 88rising set, blessed us with a surprise 2NE1 reunion, inviting the girls on stage and performing "I am the Best" with them. Needless to say the entire K-pop community was shocked and over the moon to see all 4 of them back again 7 years after their last group performance at MAMA 2015.

May:
Nine Muses reunite as bridesmaids at member Keumjo's wedding Former Nine Muses member Keumjo got married this year and didn't hesitate to call 7 of the other members to be her bridesmaids, who all looked like Dolls! This was the first time all members publicly reunited after their
MMGT performance last year. Hopefully her husband is No Playboy and there won't be any Drama in the future.
July:
SISTAR reunite on last episode of “Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook” Eventhough the girls did not release a new song we were blessed with a medley of their greatest hits and a performance of "I Swear" on the last episode of "Sketchbook". This was their first group performance after they disbanded in 2017.

August:
GIRLS' GENERATION make grand comeback for 15th anniversary As a Sone and die-hard Soshi fan, August was of course my favorite month this year because ALL 9 8 members of Girls' Generation got together again and released a new full album. The girls not only released new music but also gave us
a new reality show, multiple
variety show stints, an
SM Town performance and a week full of
music show promos (they were actually planning to promote for 2 weeks but Seohyun caught COVID right before their first stage).

November:
KARA returns with all 6 members for 15th anniversary SNSD weren't the only girlgroup to celebrate their 15th anniversary this year. KARA also debuted in 2007 and made a comeback with all 6* members of their second and third lineup, their first release since 2015. They not only released a new mini album, went on multiple
variety shows, performed on
music shows and released their
title track in Japan but also had their comeback stage at the
2022 MAMA awards in Japan, in addition to performing a medley of their greatest hits.
(* Hara was busy cheering on them from heaven)

December: Brown Eyed Girls hang out together
After Ga-in's scandal in July 2021, she hasn't been spotted in the public or online. However on December 7th, Narsha posted a picture on her Instagram of the other 3 members of the band, proving that they're still in touch.
