Every week I go through the charts for this day in the past and share the top three songs. Then I pick out two more from the top ten as honorable mention. This week, we are going back 9 years to the 2nd week in December, 2013. A lot of ladies on the chart this week.

#3 Davichi “Letter”
This was a busy year for the duo. Not only was there a very successful full album, but also a handful of equally successful singles. This was their last release for the year, and it was received well too, it would hit #1. Here’s the drama version music video (I love a drama version MV for ballads lol), which stars actress Yoon So Yi.

#2 2NE1 “Missing You”
Ahhh, their Saint Laurent/Versace era. Also Dara’s big hats. I love a big hats. The group released a trio of singles in 2013, and this was the final one. It was also their best selling single of the year. The song would debut at the top spot. My obligatory “I can’t believe this song was from Teddy” comment. Let’s check out their goodbye stage at Inkigayo.

#1 Hyolyn “One Way Love”
This was one of the two singles that she made her solo debut with. I never remember this song, until I see the choreo. But even then I don’t remember this being part of her debut. It’s still her biggest selling solo song, and her only one to reach the top of the charts. Let’s check out her solo debut stage at M Countdown.

Honorable Mentions

#4 Miss A “Hush”
I know I’m in the minority, but this song doesn’t do much for me. But I did really like the styling this era, they all look so good. Seeing this era always wants me to dig out my disco shorts. This was the lead single of their second full album of the same name. Both the song and album would chart in the top ten. It would end up being the group’s penultimate release, and we wouldn’t see them for another year and a half.

#10 Gummy & Wheesung “Special Love”
This was a digital single collab from the two former labelmates, and their first song together since 2003. It was also Wheesung’s first release since his military discharge. The song performed great. It sold very well, and the song would peak at #3 on the charts. The two solo singers would come together at the end of the year for a joint concert. No MV for the song, so here’s just the audio. Very jazzy.
