Happy Friday! Every week I go through the charts for this day in the past and share the top three songs. Then I pick out two more songs from the top ten as honorable mentions. This week, we are going back to see what we were listening to in the 1st week of November, 2011.
#3 Orange Caramel “Shanghai Romance”
This is one of the songs under the group’s “One Asia” project, following the release of “Bangkok City” earlier this year. Super Junior’s Heechul wrote the lyrics for this song, I never knew he wrote music. It is one of their biggest selling songs. A Japanese version of the song would appear on After School’s Japanese debut album, a few months later. Here’s a live stage at Music Core.

#2 Secret “Love Is Move”
One of those times where I remember this happening, but I don’t really remember if I liked it or not lol. I think I did, because I wasn’t a fan of the retro era they did earlier that year. This was the lead single from the group’s first full album. It was a busy year for them, and this was sandwiched in between Japanese promotions. The song was a success, it would chart in the top three and is one of their biggest selling singles.

#1 Girls’ Generation “The Boys”
Not one of favorite songs from them, but most definitely one of my most favorite eras. It was perfection! Look at them!!! This was the title track of their album of the same name. This was also their debut English release, and they would promote on a few shows in the US and France. The album would be the highest selling album in Korea for 2011, and the song is the group’s best selling song.

Honorable Mentions
#6 Infinite “Paradise”
2011 was really busy for the group. This was the lead single from the album of the same name. It was a repackage of their hit album, “Over The Top”, which was released early in the summer. “Paradise” was the group’s first song to break into the top three on the charts, and is one of their biggest selling songs. That's some aggressive pelvic thrusting during the chorus lol.

#7 Brown Eyed Girls “Sixth Sense”
This was the group’s Korean comeback after two years of solo activities and promotions in Japan. It was the title track from their album of the same name. Again, like SNSD above, maybe not my favorite song from them, but I loved this era. They’re so cool! The song would grab the top spot on the charts, and is their biggest selling song. Here’s a live stage from when MBC held a concert celebrating the opening of their new building.
