Back when I was a wide-eyed innocent army, a pretty young thing (okayyyy prettyish, youngish) with purple hopes and dreams (debatable😂), I genuinely believed they were gonna change the music/kpop scene for the better, but they kinda lost the plot and if anything they have leaned more into the consumerism/capitalist part of it - It became about everything but the music, which is a shame, and ironic what with Jhope saying they're prioritizing the music and all lol but hey they rich so uh good for them I guess lmao. Buuuut what I'm really interested in is seeing what happens after they enlist and come back to be honest. What about 7 years from now too, you know 🤔. I'm curious to see how sustainable this model is. (I also look forward to V's future tell-all book, if anyone's gonna spill it's him lol)
And before I finish my long-ass thesis of a comment, I can't leave without saying: God is Jin handsome lol! The fact we never got actor Jin blessing our eyes weekly in a cute romcom sageuk is super tragic 😔.
Also, wait, for the sake of not being too negative, I wanna say I do hope they announce an album soon, and that's its filled with-finalllyyyyy-actual bops/bangers/whatever you wanna call them. What can I say, I love a good redemption arc ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ .
Jungkook was the last one to escape Covid but he caught it at the worst moment for them. Even if the Grammys will never give a Korean act an award, they wanted to perform live in front of the audience for so long. But it's kinda sus, he left alone a day before the others and I don't know, he tested negative but he could had have cold symptoms and they still put him in a plane because they knew the US quarantine was only 5 days.
Longevity is not really a k-pop standard it looks like, I don't know, they seem to finish with broken bodies and just want to live a peaceful life away from the craziness (I would live by the sea in a millionaire house!)
They will announce the album early April I think, with hopefully, not a single English salad words in sight!
