People will leap to trust anything so it validates our own misgivings. If you think someone is weird you'll hyperfocus on anything to validate that opinion. It's the same shit that happened to Tablo, there was no reasonable doubt by any means but people just wanted to hate on him because they already didn't like him.
i hope netizens can somehow figure out who this guy is so he can face some real consequences. if you didn’t do anything wrong why are you hiding behind a mask. say your shit with your actual face. it’s bc he knows that it’s stuff he would never say attached to his name.
it also adds a layer of sadness that she did this because the rumors of her being a feminist.
i hope all cyber wreckers have to show their faces somehow, just like how comments are linked to IDs, their content should be as well
For all of Hellbound's fault, its portrayal of crazed internet streamers using their influence to rile up people into attacking (literally and figuratively) anyone who engages in wrongthink was incredibly spot on
Cyber-wreckers are so unbelievably sleazy and gross, it’s like the perfect storm of yellow journalism, social media disinformation and rabid celebrity obsession. I got algorithmed a couple of these videos back before I really figured out what they were and these people know exactly what they’re doing, it’s skin-crawling and as someone who genuinely kind of fears that rabid disinformation will be the downfall of collective society, I wish they would get launched into the sun
