Groups that debuted in 2015 will reach the end of their 7-year-contract in 2022, so contract renewal or disbanding talks should be in progress or start soon. Imfact already
announced this week that they are de facto disbanding. All Seventeen members already
renewed their contracts in 2021.
Here are the rest of the groups:

Look, I know a lot of people here predict Twice are going to disband but I genuinely think they’re one of those groups who LIKE being in a group. You can tell from all the solo interviews the members do where they literally cannot stop mentioning the other members, how much they want to be Twice forever, how they’re a family etc etc etc. So I think even if they do decide not to resign with Jype or certain members want to try different endeavours, I’m sure they’ll find a way to continue releasing content and music for fans, and I’m even more sure they’ll still stick together even if they don’t work together as frequently. That’s not really a prediction tho since the girls have said this themselves lol.
But yeah, obviously I want more content for years to come because they’re my ult group but I have no doubt the girls will still remain close, so I’m fine with whatever they decide to do next.

don't worry omona doesn't listen anyway, got7 have said the same countless times and yet according to everyone here they've disbanded..
i hope they leave jype, and go elsewhere this company doesn't deserve them but idk how easy that is :p

LOL i can’t expect non-fans to keep up with everything my favs say so I don’t expect much, but it’s worth trying to set the record straight anyway! Just because a group or certain members leave a company doesn’t mean they’re disbanded!!! 💀
And yeah, promotions for Twice have been dismal these past few comebacks tbh but I’m unsure if it’s the company trying to wind down on a senior group and focusing on newer groups, or if it’s just a case of COVID-19 messing up things that were maybe planned? I just want the girls to do whatever is best for them.

Everyone else: they've disbanded!11!!!1!
Is it really that hard to respect what a group says?
Kpop history tells us it’s pretty unlikely we’ll ever see full-scale got7 promotions again or it may take YEARS, like 2pm
Is that what it takes to be called to be not disbanded? They've said that they won't be able to do full on promos and they wouldn't have been able to once the korean members start enlisting anyway. Is a boy group that has members enlisted and aren't active suddenly disbanded? No. They're just inactive. Idk what people's obsession is with calling them disbanded when they actively denied it every single time. Like geez.
If the group themselves are saying they have xyz planned or they wanna do xyz, and they're not xyz then why are you, a rando, talking over them and going 'well actually, according to kpop historyi think you're spiritually defunct'.

Sure, they say this now but a lot of idols say a lot of things that don't come to pass and a lot of plans fall through in this industry. I'll believe it when I see it 🤷🏻♀️
And like I said, I think 'disbanded' can be pretty semantic. If they're not actually promoting together how much difference does it make if they're technically disbanded or not? If there's no real material for fans of the group as a group to enjoy, then what makes them a group? A lot of groups are not technically disbanded but they haven't actually done anything together in years. Some groups have disbanded and come back together years later, especially recently. I'm not going to die on this hill or anything lol but I guess I just don't agree how important the actual label of 'disbanded' is.
