If you thought 2020 was a busy year for SF9, you’re right, with 2021 shaping up to be even busier. SF9 started the year off with their SF9 Workshop fanmeet in January, followed by Kingdom from February (filming, but it started airing in April) to June, their Reply Fantasy fanmeet in August, multiple dramas, and their post-Kingdom comeback with their 9th mini album Turnover! Promotions for that went by way too fast (no thanks to fnc), but I decided to compile what they’ve done since then since we’re getting another comeback in less than 2 weeks with their 10th mini album, Rumination!
I also decided to do it now since it looks like there are going to be more schedules lined up after soooo, here I am. This list will be long, I most definitely will miss some things because a lot of the sources are either region-locked or… difficult to find because fnc really said they will make liking this group difficult for their fans. But I digress. I’m focusing mostly on the stuff that was released during and after TearDrop for variety appearances, but you’ll see a few stray ones from before that.
Music (including OSTs, covers, special stages, and Soundcloud releases)
2021 so far has been amazing for SF9’s music releases, with Turnover smashing SF9’s first day and first week sales records, along with becoming FNC Entertainment’s best-selling album to date. They have now also sold 1 million of their albums cumulatively (combining KR and JP album sales).

While TearDrop stages have been posted on Omona, they also performed b-side track Love Again on Music Core, which was also Chani’s last day as MC for the music show.
Click to viewAside from their comeback, we saw members Jaeyoon, Hwiyoung, and Chani promote OSTs for dramas they featured in, while Inseong performed on Immortal Song with Korean rock legend Seo Moontak. And we also can’t forget how active the members have been in uploading covers on Youtube.

Yoo Taeyang will be taking part of 희노애락 (emotion dance concert) on November 27 and 28, hosted by ARTONE STUDIO and ARTONE Academy. Since neither FNC nor the fanclub account for official updates have tweeted about it, Taeyang took matters into his own hands and promoted the concert himself through his instagram stories after ticketing opened on November 12, 2021.
Musicals
This year we got not one, but two members acting in musicals. After being cast in The Days in 2020, Inseong was then cast as one of the actors in the role of Brown for Red Book last April 2021 opposite Cha Ji Yeon, Ivy, and Kim Sejeong. Having started in June, the musical recently concluded its encore online performance, and was nominated in the musical category of the 8th E-Daily Culture Awards. Inseong was then cast in the musical Jack the Ripper as Daniel, with his shows slated to start in December 2021. Here is a vlog he uploaded to the SF9 Youtube channel about Red Book! It surprisingly had subs already when it was uploaded which is... not a regular occurrence except for one show on their channel.
Jaeyoon is the latest member to start his musical career after being cast as the evil Lee Bang Won in Founded, with his shows slated until January. He has also been recently announced for the theater play Fantasy Tale, a fairy tale told by 3 clowns, which will run from December to February of next year.

This was actually filmed in 2019 but the release kept getting postponed.

Gyuhan is an unlucky college part-timer whose sneezes bring him nothing but misfortune. Literally.
Only available on KakaoTV, and most attempts to sub it and make it available for international fans resulted in the links being down. This was originally filmed in 2020.
These are the dramas that have aired this year or have definite air dates already. Youngbin's Bubble Up web drama was slated to air in September, but has not aired yet. Inseong's Two Universes web drama had no further updates after filming was completed. Hwiyoung and Chani are currently still filming for the web drama Miracle even if they continue to pretend they're not working on the same drama (Chani already spoiled it so lmao). In casting news, Rowoon was recently announced to be joining Kim Heesun in the drama Tomorrow, where he becomes a new member of the crisis management team after accidentally meeting angels of death.

SF9 Center is a bi-weekly variety show that airs two Fridays a month at 7PM KST. The series follows Inseong and Jaeyoon as the people who will restore the members' lost dreams. Photo Essays
I don't know the difference between a photobook and a photo essay... but SF9 released their 2nd group Photobook COMMA last September. It looks very fresh and them in casual wear is something I cannot get enough of.
This comes a month after the release of Youngbin and Inseong's individual photobooks which were both titled, Me, Another Me.
While it was initially assumed that these photobooks were released due to these members' pending enlistments (they were both born in 1993), that assumption was pretty much dispelled when the photobooks of members Rowoon and Yoo Taeyang were released a month after COMMA.
