Dreamcatcher - Alldaylong
Album: Summer Holiday (EP / Mini Album)

Lead Single: BEcause
This sounds nothing like Dreamcatcher and it loses points for that - this could have gone to any girl group. That being said - "Alldaylong" is a smooth, easy going summer tune with a cool retro vibe. It's done so well. So while it feels out of place on the album/with this group - it's a really strong mid-tempo, head-bopping tune worth adding to a playlist or two.

AUGUST
Astro - MY ZONE
Album: Switch On (EP / Mini Album)
Release Date: August 2, 2021
Lead Single: After Midnight
MY ZONE is sexy cat-walk music. If you're a Jus2 fan - this track is for you. Another standout on this EP is "Footprint" and the lead single is good too. Overall, a really solid release from Astro.
Sunmi - Narcissism
Album: 1/6 (EP / Mini Album)
Release Date: August 6, 2021
Lead Single: You Can't Sit With Us
As a Sunmi fan who hated "You Can't Sit With Us," I'm glad that the rest of the EP is decent. The title track is dreamy and atmospheric, "Call" is moody and dancey, but "Narcissism" is the true standout for me. Queen of sadgirl bops.
CIX - Off My Mind & Bad Dream
Album: OK Prologue: Be OK (Full Album)
Release Date: August 17, 2021
Lead Single: Wave
I've never picked 2 songs before but it had to be done. This is one of the best Kpop albums of the year that you aren't listening to. FIX IT. FIX IT NOW.

Yang Yoseob - The Last Cold (꽃샘)

Lead Single: Brain
I've always been a fan of Yoseob's voice and I'm genuinely surprised it took him this long to put out a full album. This track is sparse with a simple melody - but it works. It's catchy and an easy, flowy listen. The guitar that kicks in during the 2nd verse is a nice little touch. If you need a breather from dance tunes and disco inspired tracks - this one is for you.
KEY - Yellow Tape
Album: Bad Love (EP / Mini Album)
Release Date: September 27, 2021
Lead Single: Hate That (Feat. Taeyeon)
Okay so we all agree that "Bad Love" is the Kpop song of the year. It is fact. It is determined. It is law. But this whole mini album slaps and "Yellow Tape" makes for an excellent addition to this stellar piece of art courtesy of our Almighty Key.
