Every week I check the charts for this day in the past and post the top three songs. Then I pick out two more from the top ten as honorable mentions. This week, we are going back to the 3rd week in April, 2013. Some of the songs have been posted before, so we will check out some comeback stages.

#3 LYn featuring Baechigi “Tonight”
This was one of the singles from her very successful full album “Le Grand Bleu”. Multiple songs from the 10 track album would chart in the top ten, and this one would peak at #3. It is also still one of her biggest selling songs. The track features the duo of Baechigi. It’s my favorite song from the album. There was no video for this song, so here’s the audio.

#2 PSY “Gentleman”
His follow up to “Gangnam Style”, released about 9 months later. Like its predecessor, the music video would set a bunch of YouTube records. The song would debut at #1 on the charts. Here is the first public performance of the song, at his “Happening” concert, one day after the song’s release. The MV would premiere during the show as well. He would go on to promote the song internationally for the next few months.

#1 Cho Yong Pil “Bounce”
This was one of the songs from the legendary singer’s 19th album. The album would debut at #1, kicking off PSY from the spot. A few songs from this album would top the charts. “Bounce” would also win a handful of music show trophies, as well some awards at the year end shows. It’s a fun song, also pretty catchy.

Honorable Mentions

#8 15& “Somebody”
This was the duo’s follow up to their debut, and it would peak at #3 on the charts. The song was a released as a single, and would later be included in their only album, “Sugar”, a year later. I only remember a little part of the chorus. But I know I liked this better than their debut.

#10 Jay Park featuring Common Ground “Joah”
I remember this one! There are only 2 Jay Park songs that I’ve ever liked lol, and this is one of them. This was one of the songs he released as part of three song digital single of the same name. The song features instrumentals from Common Ground, who were the live band from SNL Korea. Jay Park had joined the show’s cast a few months prior.
